Bought this model about a year ago and I think it’s great – it has never let me down. So compact – doesn’t dominate the kitchen like some. Better finish than others – some S/S looks and sounds like tin – this one is solid (don’t compare it with Asda stuff!). Best of all it works perfectly – OK you have to get used to the controls but it’s not rocket science!

We have had two of this model in the past 3 months. The first lasted for 2 months before developing a serious fault. The second one developed the same fault within one day of use. The exterior casing of the oven became extremely hot whilst the contents of the oven did not even get warm. Steer away from this model!! Had to put a star to send review but doesn’t deserve a star at all!Panasonic NN-E273S Digital Solo Microwave Oven Stainless Steel 20L 800W

First time I used it to defrost it cooked the living daylights out of the frozen food – I htough maybe it was my mistake and so stupidly tried to defrost something again same thing happened. I am taking it back. If it gets the power wrong so badly with defrost who knows what temperatures it can create!!

The Panasonic microwave NN-E273S digital solo microwave oven 20L 800w in stainless steel is a very good buy. It does what it says on the box. It is just an ordinary microwave that is perfect for cooking small dishes and defrosting or reheating things. It is easy to use and to set up. The only small drawback with it is that it tends to slide on a hard surface when you close the door . It could do with some rubber pads under it’s feet to solve this. Apart from that I can find no other problems with it.

This is an excellent product if you want a stainless steel, fairly compact microwave oven without an integral grill. It is simple to use and feels solidly built. My one minor complaint is that after you select the power level or defrost setting and then enter the time, the selected power level indicator disappears. This product is typical of the very good reputation of Panasonic products.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 78 year old dad, to encourage him to cook more fresh food. He loves it……simple to use, perfect for one, retro looks and a space saver for small kitchens with the rounded back. After a couple of initial trial and errors with the Crisp function, we discovered that the secret is to pre-heat the crisp plate; within 25 minutes a sunday roast had been rustled up. Not only are wholesome meals cooked in minutes, you only have to use minimal cooking oil; a bonus for encouraging healthy eating. I’ve now ordered the ‘deep’ crisp plate and awaiting an invite to sample the 15 minute cake…! A DVD is supplied explaining each function and sample dishes by an enthusiastic French chef, however a handbook and cookbook would have been more practical. Although there was damage to outer casing when the Max 28 was opened on Christmas Day, which was disappointing, it was so easy to arrange for collection of the damaged unit by DHL and order a replacement on Amazon, which all occurred on time when it said it would…..fantastic service!! Thank You Amazon!

We love this. It does everything it says on the box. Also the shape and look of it are unusual on the pics but it’s great in real life- looks a bit like a small tv and looks groovy in the kitchen. It fits neatly into a corner because of the curved back. Easy to clean – there’s no lip inside when there are cooking mishaps…….In terms of cooking it’s spot on the crisp function is great though don’t really use the grill. We use it mainly for heating up and it does a great job.

This microwave is available in several different colours, including a silver, which is the one I bought, and black, as here; I’ve also seen a cream, red and blue abroad. They are identical in performance.
This is a good-looking microwave and is also a Which Best Buy. Its curved back allows it to fit into a corner, the front face is about 500mm from the corner so it can free up a lot of space on the work-top.
The unit looks very stylish and comes supplied with a crisp plate and handle, metal roasting rack and a baby-bottle holder, these fit neatly on the top of the unit. The oven is quite small at 290mm by 290mm by 149mm high, headroom above the turntable is about 140mm so you can get a mug in but not some tall jugs.
The unit has a grill that you can use on its own or a crisp function that uses the crisp plate which gets really hot. Microwave performance seemed very even and the crisp plate reheated some croque-monsieurs and croissants really well as well as making some excellent baked potatoes.Controls seemed logical and easy to use.
The unit comes with a multi-lingual, multi-product DVD featuring an Italian
celebrity chef named Nello who has been dubbed in the “Welcome to Sheffield, city of steel” 1950s style! The chef demonstrates 19 recipes which are also available as pdfs to print out; there are also cooking tables as pdfs, only 5 of the 8 are relevant to this product.
If you are looking to free up some work-top space without sacrificing performance or style then I would recommend this unit.

I was looking for a compact cobination microwave for my new kitchen when I discovered the Whirlpool machines on Amazon. Although not a convection oven this machine does everything else I wanted and more, with the crisp function. Most importantly it looks great and fits neatly into a corner. The recipe DVD was not included but Whirlpool sent me a written version after advising that the DVD is longer available. My order arrived within 3 days, once again great service from Amazon.
